FishHead is the ultimate fishing companion app. Track detailed weather, river, tide and lunar information all from the palm of your hand. Choose from over 20,000 rivers and tide stations within the United States to get up to date information for your favorite stream or tidal fishing location.

FishHead organizes your information by location so that you see all of the pertinent fishing data on one easy to read page. Track the flows of your favorite stream; plan your next trip around the best tides and moon phases and look at the latest weather forecasts. FishHead was designed for both the fresh water and saltwater anglers and covers the entire United States and its territories. Don’t be surprised by the conditions, plan ahead with FishHead!

Features:

1) Search - FishHead includes a easy to use search engine allowing you to quickly sift through thousands of rivers and tide stations in the United States. Search by river name, tide station, zip code or city, state. Use your devices locator functionality (if equipped) to find the closest streams and tide stations, this is a particularly handy feature when away from your familiar home waters.

2) Favorites - Save your favorite tide or river stations to get instant access to the data you use the most. Add, Delete and Reorganize your list of hot spots with a few finger gestures.

3) Details Views - Each component of your favorite data has a detailed view:

Weather details:
Track current and 7 day forecasted weather including temperature, wind speeds and directions, wind chill, barometric pressure, UV index, averages and records, and precipitation.

River Details:
View detailed river flow, stage and temperature when available. Detailed hourly, 5-day and 10-day graphs to give you an in depth look at what the stream is doing. Rotate horizontally to show an enlarged 10 day graph for your favorite river.

Tides/Currents Details:
View todays high and low tides or time your fishing around the next slack current or max Flood. Navigate to past or future tides/currents with our next and previous buttons or use the date picker to plan next summers saltwater trip around the optimal tides. Rotate horizontally to show a large tide/current graph which highlights exactly where you are within the tide.

Solar/Lunar Details:
View the moon phase, sunrise and sunset, moonrise and moonset, length of day and visible light, and next new and full moon events.

Full disclosure- a fishing acquaintance of mine created this app. I paid full price, and would gladly again. It is worth the $7. It is one of the few apps I paid for, I usually get free apps since Im a tightwad. Ive had this app since it first came out, and I use it regularly before fishing. I used it more when I lived near the California Delta, where tides and flow is very important. Almost all the rivers I fish are covered. Last week, after the iOS 10 upgrade, I noticed the app stopped working. I sent an email to John thru his website, and they informed me a day later they had server problems and app should work again, which it does. The only thing I would improve is being able to prioritize which rivers or tide locations you see first. Tight lines everybody!

This is hands down a must have app for fly fisherman. It has by far the most gauging stations and relevant information of any of the similar apps. Unfortunately after upgrading to IOS 10 it freezes up when you try to add a river. Hopefully they will fix the issue because it really is the best app out their for the intended use.

Quick, easy, and efficient access to all of the critical information needed for a great day on the water. With this app I can remove over a dozen bookmarked websites from my screen and access it all in one place. New mapping feature is really useful and has helped me pinpoint the best data available for the day. From Tarpon fishing in the Keys to chasing carp in your local mudhole this app gives you instant access to current and accurate conditions. A must have for the serious traveling angler!

I like things simple and FishHead is the most comprehensive on the water app. the new version has everything i need for fishing inshore or off the beach, water temps, wind, wave intervals, weather and tides all in one app.

The new update improves on all areas where I had hoped. Its a one stop shop for water/weather.

Some bad moments

Wow, shouldve read the reviews before buying this app. No data for Canada. Im looking for the same data as the other guy. Bow River in Alberta Canada, Below the Downtown weir all the way to Carseland. Will consider adding a few stars if they decide to include the Canadians.

WAS GREAT! But now it will not update. Please fix this problem!!!

Been using this app for 2 years now with no problem. Hasnt been working at all for the past few days. Not cool.

Was a great app. However, it stopped updating and can no longer load any rivers. Hopefully the developer will make the necessary fixes. Otherwise the app is useless.

Would be zero stars but you have to rate it at least 1 star. Search function doesnt work at all so no locations can be added. Will be contacting Apple for a refund.
